YU and YCQ: A Mission of Torat Chesed – Yeshiva University Announces Humanitarian Student Mission

Friday March 11th 2022

Yeshiva University (YU)’s Sacks-Herenstein Center and Office of Student Life announced a humanitarian student mission next week to work with hundreds of Ukrainian refugees sheltering in Vienna and help them celebrate Purim.

As part of the mission, YU students will partner with the Jewish community of Vienna to aid the refugees as directed by community liaisons. They will assist with sorting items that have been collected and delivering items directly to refugees.

YCQ students are drafting notes, pictures, and cards that will be sent and delivered by the YU students. The YCQ Board and PTO has purchased an assortment of Purim crafts projects and toys that will be delivered to the Ukranian Refugees. What an incredible way for us to participate in bringing Ora v’Simcha just in time for Purim.
