A performance by our Debate Team resulted in multiple victories, including best team score. Michael Zavulun and Max Basalely put on a tour-de-force in their match against HALB’s top debate team, winning the highest rated debate of the entire tournament, 108 – 105. In their first debate of the year, YCQ teammates Adam Kaykov and Elianah Aminova claimed victory over JKHA/Kushner 83-80. Mr. Miles Ehrenkrantz, JHS Social Studies Teacher and Debate Coach, stated, “Every single Debate Team member contributed to make this a successfully hosted tournament by YCQ.” Thank you Ms. Sarah Shenas, and Mrs. Elana Joffee, for acting as official time keepers and facilitating the on-scene debate tournament.
