Communities Confronting Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) is a not-for-profit organization founded with the goal of creating stigma-free Jewish communities through awareness, education, and prevention programming regarding substance use and addiction. CCSA representatives visited the YCQ seventh and eighth grade students on February 8th to present a workshop, which included data related to substance use and addiction as well as refusal and decision-making strategies to use when faced with peer pressure. CCSA also presented to parents that same evening over Zoom. Everyone walked away with more knowledge and understanding of how to address this very important issue in our community.
