Junior High School English Language Arts Teacher – Part Time
We are seeking an afternoon Junior High School English Language Arts Teacher. The ideal candidate will have two or more years of classroom teaching experience, and a commitment to helping students become insightful readers, critical thinkers, accomplished writers, and engaged learners. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively within and outside of the department and demonstrate an interest in ongoing professional growth.
Salary Range: $40,000 – $50,000 annually
Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and education
Assistant Teachers – Part-Time and Full-Time
Assist teacher with small group instruction, escorting students to recess and specialty classes, as well as clerical work. Assistant teachers at times may be asked to sub for the class.
Part Time Salary Range: $11,500-$12,000 annually
Full Time Salary Range: $23,000-$24,000 annually
Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and education.
School Nurse
YCQ is seeking a School Registered Nurse. Our mission is to nurture the intellectual, physical and social development of all of our students and staff, through a comprehensive program that promotes academic excellence and prepares its students for success in school and in life.
The school nurse will support an optimum physical, mental, emotional, and social climate for all students and staff.
Qualifications
•Current Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the NYS
• Current CPR certification/BLS
•Experience in pediatric healthcare
Responsibilities
• Provide health services for students (in YCQ and Sinai@YCQ) and staff and acts as advocate, liaison, and consultant on health-related issues for students, families and school personnel
• Communicate with School Staff, Parents, Students, and Community resources
- Notifications for communicable diseases etc.
- Monitor medications
• Maintain student’s health by providing professional nursing services in accordance with Nursing Standards and NYS Licensing
• Provide NY State-mandated and annual screening programs as recommended by school
- Including vision, hearing, and scoliosis
• Collaborate with Director of Immunizations and Compliance to facilitating NY State-mandated immunization and communicable disease control requirements
• Participate as member of the school’s Emergency Management, Health and Safety and Crisis Response Teams
• Document health services provided in accordance with the NYS Nurse Practice Act and YCQ Policy
• Maintain current pertinent health data for each student by periodic review and documentation on the individual student electronic and/or paper health records
• Monitor Health Office budget
- Inventory and ordering of required health office supplies
• Promote a positive, student-centered, and differentiated environment to meet the needs of all learners

Employment Hours
Monday through Friday while school is in session.
Monday-Thursday 7:45am-4:30pm
