Chanukah is a very busy and exciting time in the pre-school. In addition to a Chanukah concert, menorah cookie decorating and Azamra D.J. the pre-schoolers invited the parents to join us for a special Chanukah activity. The nursery children participated in a hands on work shop. They made dreidle men, Chanukah mats and clay dreidles. They even had a Chanukah game and puzzle table.
The children then participated in a Chanukah sing-a-long, which included old favorites like “I Have A Little Dreidle” and “Sivivon Sov Sov Sov,” with some new songs like “Light Up the Night” and “I Wish I Were A Macabbi.”
The Kindergarten classes each performed an original Chanukah play. They said their parts flawlessly, sang songs and wore the beautiful costumes they made. Each child took home a grab and go party bag filled with Chanukah goodies. An amazing Chanukah was had by all!
