Yeshiva of Central Queens (YCQ), a well-established and vibrant Modern Orthodox day school serving students from Nursery through 8th grade, is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Director of Operations to join our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the school campus
  • Manage vendor relationships, facilities, security, and transportation

Salary Range: $90,000–$120,000 (commensurate with experience)

Elementary School General Studies Teachers

YCQ is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary School General Studies Teachers to join our vibrant and dynamic team for the 2025-2026 academic year. We are looking for educators who are passionate about fostering a love for learning, creating an inclusive classroom environment, and contributing to the academic, social, and emotional development of our students, all within a nurturing Torah-based atmosphere.

Junior High School Science Teacher

The JHS Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based science instruction that inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education and experience working with middle school students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate science lessons in line with NYS standards and YCQ’s curriculum
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages respectful dialogue, curiosity, and collaborative learning
  • Assess student progress through various formative and summative assessments
  • Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and colleagues about student progress and classroom activities
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives

Ivrit/Keriyah Instructor

YCQ is seeking a dynamic, fluent Ivrit Instructor to inspire a love for Hebrew language in both early childhood and elementary-aged students. In early childhood classrooms, the instructor will bring Ivrit to life through interactive sessions filled with songs, props, games, and stories that introduce basic vocabulary, conversational skills, and cultural elements. In the elementary grades, the instructor will support small groups of students in developing foundational skills in keriyah and Ivrit proficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engaging, immersive Ivrit sessions in early childhood classrooms using music, props, and interactive play
  • Teach fundamental vocabulary (e.g., colors, numbers, greetings) and nursery rhymes in Hebrew
  • Introduce students to Israeli culture and holidays through song and storytelling
  • Support elementary school students in small groups to strengthen keriyah and spoken Ivrit
  • Reinforce classroom curriculum and assist teachers with language integration
  • Track student progress and communicate with teachers as needed

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Hebrew (spoken and reading)
  • Experience working with young children and/or elementary students
  • Familiarity with keriyah instruction and best practices in language acquisition
  • Creative, warm, and enthusiastic about Jewish education and Israeli culture

Hours/Salary Range 9:00 am-4:00 pm  M-Th / $45,000-$50,000

Early Childhood Music Morah


YCQ is seeking a warm, energetic, and musically talented Early Childhood Music Morah to join our team. This role involves visiting early childhood classrooms  and engaging young children in joyful, interactive music sessions that promote a love for music, Jewish holidays, and Torah values. The Music Morah will teach age-appropriate songs in Hebrew and English, introduce basic musical concepts, and incorporate movement and instruments to enhance the learning experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead music sessions for early childhood classes
  • Teach songs connected to Jewish holidays, Shabbat, and Torah themes
  • Use music to support classroom routines and emotional development
  • Collaborate with teachers to align music content with classroom learning
  • Prepare children for and lead performances as needed, including Chanukah and end of year celebrations. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with young children in a Jewish educational setting
  • Strong musical ability (singing and/or instrument proficiency)
  • Familiarity with Jewish holidays, customs, and songs
  • Warm, engaging, and child-centered approach

Hours/Salary Range:  5 Hours a week (Flexible with days/times) / $20,000-$25,000

Assistant and Associate Teachers (Part time / Full time)

Assistant/Associate Teachers at YCQ play a key role in supporting the educational development of students within the classroom setting. This position works closely with the Head Teacher to implement lesson plans, facilitate classroom activities, provide individual support to students, and help maintain a positive and structured learning environment. The Assistant Teacher will help foster a love of learning while upholding the values of the Yeshiva and supporting the overall growth and success of each studen

Salary Range: $20,000-$35,000 (based on hours and experience)
