1Can the day be extended? Are there after school activities?

Students grades k-4 who are enrolled in the 4:30 room or in an after school program are able to ride the bus at 4:30.
2Is busing available to and from YCQ each day?
For students in Kindergarten and up, complimentary busing is provided for students who live locally in Queens. For students who live on Long Island, free busing is typically provided by the student’s respective school district.
3What are the Nut and Kashurt policies?
We are a peanut and nut free school and take this responsibility extremely seriously.
Items with the following labels may NOT be brought to school:
- Contains or may contain peanuts/nuts.
- Contain or may contain traces of peanuts/nuts.
- Manufactured on equipment that also process products containing peanuts and/or other tree nuts
YCQ families adhere to and uphold a strict level of kashrut observance 100% of the time, both in and out of the home. Any foods sent to school, including snacks, must have reliable certification.
4Does YCQ offer fresh hot lunches daily? Even on Friday?
Fresh, hot, delicious, and nutritious lunches are available every day, Monday through Friday. Dairy is served on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday while meat lunches are served on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
5What is the dress code?
We believe that the way our students dress for school has an effect on the attitude and the seriousness of their learning, as well as the overall culture of the school. Neat, comfortable, and modest dress (tzniut) is a part of good chinuch. Our dress code is intended to reflect an understanding that YCQ is a makom Torah where tzniut considerations, for both boys and girls, are a primary concern.
